We had an arrangement for someone to measure for new blinds around the villa this afternoon so, as we had got a reservation slot to visit the Magic Kingdom, we got going early and set off for the park.
It was also a big day for our neighbour across the road as he had decided to take the plunge and have his roof replaced at a mere cost of around $17,500 (approx. £13,500). Well, at least he won't have to worry about it for the next 10 years, when he'll have to have it done all over again or risk not getting home insurance cover. His new roof will be guaranteed against winds of up to 130mph, so fingers crossed we don't get anything beyond that here in that time!
We decided to park at Epcot and use the monorail to Magic Kingdom as parking is usually easier there. However, we always forget that you have to change monorails at the Transportation and Ticketing Centre and that getting to MK can then take ages, so we’re still learning.
James enjoyed the monorail ride and we managed to avoid the long queue for the monorail by taking the resort hotels monorail line instead.
Once inside we headed for Fantasyland and It's a Small World which James loves. We planned to go on the Carousel but the queue was long and in bright, by now hot, sunshine so we opted out.
Today was probably the hottest day since we arrived. We had a quick spin on the People Mover and then headed back via the traditional ferry boat.
In the evening we went to Ford's Garage with its replica cars which James thought were great.

Will there be a roof update today?
ReplyDeleteYes, when I get time. More pool screen cleaning for now!
